KENT GRIGGS
Elder
As an Elder, Kent Griggs is dedicated to upholding the values of Rivertown Grace Fellowship, of which he helped form. He provides spiritual guidance and support to the congregation, oversees church events and activities, and serves as a mentor and counselor to those in need. Kent also takes his turn teaching and preaching to members of RGF as well, holding up the truths of Titus 1:6–9.
[6] if anyone is above reproach, the husband of one wife, and his children are believers and not open to the charge of debauchery or insubordination. [7] For an overseer, as God’s steward, must be above reproach. He must not be arrogant or quick-tempered or a drunkard or violent or greedy for gain, [8] but hospitable, a lover of good, self-controlled, upright, holy, and disciplined. [9] He must hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to rebuke those who contradict it.
Kent has lived in the Conway area for 33 years and has been married to his wife, Dona, for over 40 years. He has one daughter and one grandson. He retired after 40 years in the industrial textile industry. He currently serves as the director of 13ForHaiti which is a ministry that serves Paillant, Haiti. Kent also owns and manages Thirteen Thrift Store, the proceeds of which support the Haitian ministry.
